AVG LinkScanner

AVG LinkScanner is a protection tool that will complement any antivirus. It allows you to check and see if a webpage is secure before you even visit it.

Once you've installed the program, you can use it in two different ways: by entering the link to the webpage that you want to visit, and instantly receiving a security rating of the site, or by using a normal Internet search engine. An icon will then indicate the security level of each result.

If you want to use all of the tool's features, you'll need to install the AVG toolbar, which may be an inconvenience for some users. Luckily, it's not very intrusive.

AVG LinkScanner is the ideal complement for any antivirus (although it is incompatible with a few). It guarantees more and better security while you browse online.
